Eva Anna Hekking is a designing artist inspired since childhood by daily life happenings. I was drawing since I was three years old. Always been inspired by the daily life, people, fashion, photography, nature, animals, music, design and art. Every day looking around and being inspired is her fuel to her creative motor. She loves her art books&magazines, watching movies and enjoys doing her internet research on all these lifestyle topics. Grown up in a creative family, she already visited interesting museums worldwide on a young age. After highschool she spend one year abroad with E.F languages courses in Brighton, Nice and Paris. Before she entered the Design Academy in Eindhoven, she followed a summer architect in colour course at Bois Buchet powered by Centre Pompidou.
Graduated in 2004 at the Design Academy in Eindhoven. During her studies at art school she launched her first bag collection for the ISPO Sport fair in Munchen and customized an All Stars collection for Converse Germany. After getting her Bachelor degree cum laude at the Design Academy Eindhoven she had several solo exhibitions with her art bags `Material girl` at Galerie Metis_nl. Followed a design masters at designLAB in Munchen and Shanghai sponsored by Siemens Mobile, wherefor she designed an Utopia future concept store for communication devices including design program. Also she followed fashion master courses at the fashion insititute Arnhem at Artez. In the past she worked for several international fashion brands as creative assistent to creative directors and as concept designer for visual merchandising and press events. Madonna once quoted; "Use all your talents". A quote Eva always likes to keep in mind.
Currently she is the owner of Studio EAH! An agency that provides creative services for the Fashion-, Trend- Interiors- and Graphical industries. Founded in 2007 by Eva Anna Hekking, the company is specialised in: creative concepts design, product design : for example: award(product) design, fashion design: dresses, bags, jewelry, accessories, graphic design; logo`s, illustrations, dessins, layouts, interior styling and visual merchandising, brand dna & trend research. Since 2007 she is founder of EAH! She launched her label during the Amsterdam Fashion Week, had several catwalk shows, presentations at fairs and opened 3 EAH! pop up shops. First sales were at Saint Tropez, Monte Carlo and P.C Hooftstr. Worn by international celebrities like Beyonce, Rihanna, Miss Jay Alexander, Ivana Trump, Tyra Banks. Also she made her own webshop since 2007: www.eahshop.com. Last summer 2010 she launched an affordable line. This was a cheap one-time collection. EAH! pink label was available at more than 80 shops through the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Ireland. EAH! an internationally minded label with unique bags for unique personalities. Meant for those who like to be different and have their own fashion style. Those who don`t follow, but have their own unique creative taste, stylists of theit own outfits. Age doesn’t matter, EAH! personality does. Do you already have an EAH!? Today she works as a `designing artist` at her studio on freelance projects, new designs and collections.
