All necklace designs are inspired by the Whole & Hole concept. The deeper relation and meaning of a open hole. An underminded important space, it nit the ring that connects you, its the hole. A hole is about connecting, multiplying and communicating. Without holes in our body we would not be able to survive one day. It makes us talk, hear, kiss, breath, make love, see, smell or simply go to the bathroom. The Round shape as primair base of everything. In time of crises it is important to realise the importance of mother natures basic shapes. The Sun gives us light so we can live. And being able to live is the future. Met deze boodschap kondigde Eva Anna Hekking haar show en collectie aan. The hole staat voor leven en toekomst. Het meest elementaire. De oerknal, de zon, de holten in het lichaam die de basis zijn om te (over)leven. ‘Hollow & Whole’ is de abstracte verhaallijn voor alles om ons heen. Een vormtaal die gaat over het spanningsveld van het spirituele onzichtbare. Over het geheel die ‘Hollow & Whole’ vormen. Hole + Whole = 1. Zonder elkaar geen toekomst. (soon translated in English)
